Dr P Ashok Kumar is a cardiologist working in the field of cardiology for the past 14 years. After completion of his specialization in Cardiology, he served as consultant/Teaching faculty in various hospitals. He worked as an Asst Professor in cardiology for two years before joining as a consultant in Narayana Hrudayalaya in 2012. He served for more than eight years at St. Martha`s Narayana Hrudayalaya Heart centre as a senior consultant. He is currently working at Sparsh Hospital, Infantry Road, Bangalore. His areas of interest include preventive cardiology, management of acute heart attacks by primary Angioplasty, complex coronary interventions including rotational atherectomy, LMCA interventions, bifurcation angioplasties, intra vascular imaging, heart failure management including device therapies(pacemaker implantations). He has done more than 3000 percutaneous interventional procedures.  He has authored several textbooks and has various publications in various indexed journals to his credit. He is a faculty in various conferences, both national and abroad. He is a permanent member of the cardiological society of india(CSI) and a fellow of the prestigious Society for Cardiovascular  Angiography and Interventions(FSCAI), USA
